Firehouse Chicago Wedding Venue
This is the Firehouse Chicago in Andersoneville. It’s a historic building built for Engine Company 70 before the Field Museum, the Adler Planetarium, the Wrigley Building, or even Wrigley field had broke ground. Firehouse Chicago is prepared with original period beauty the interior features antique doors, lighting, and plumbing fixtures all restored to last another hundred years, or the ruckus of your next event.
This timeless nook in Chicago is the setting for Marisa and Todd’s jump off point into the rest of their life.
2016 Wedding Photography Giveaway
Marisa & Todd are actually the winners of my 2016 wedding photography giveaway. If you aren’t familiar with my annual tradition, I search for one lovely couple to offer free wedding photography coverage in exchange for the cost of travel to be reimbursed. Marisa & Todd had a number of family fly in for their wedding, and by winning free coverage they were able to help make that a reality for some important people in their wedding.
2017 Wedding Photography Giveaway
I am offering another wedding photography giveaway for 2017. Are you interested in participating? Please visit the page and tell me about yourselves! The application window is between December 1 and December 31.
Here is what you’re really here for. This is Marisa and Todd, and they are adorable. Let’s just start with the portraits because they’re sooooo good.
Wait wait wait, hold up, I have to shout out to Asrai Gardens for doing such an exceptional job on the florals. Just wow.
Sorry to stop you again, but seriously, check this place out. Firehouse Chicago really shows off it’s vintage appeal, and combined with Asrai Garden it’s just stunning.
The structure they got married under are timbers from a barn and Marisa & Todd are keeping them to put into a house one day.
Chicago Wedding Photography
I absolutely love photographing weddings. I feel like I have the best job in the world. However, there are so many other talented people who put in crazy amounts of work to pull off the party of the century, every weekend. Here are the people you should know about.
Marisa’s dress is called the Aurora Gown, designed by Etoile and sold on BHLDN.
Todd pulled out all the stops and went for an Ermenegildo Zegna suit, and the quality really shows (one of the best dressed grooms all year).
We were blessed to have the oh-so talented Asrai Garden as the florist. (Scroll back up and look at those flowers and arrangements!)
The guests were sated by Hearty Boys and 10/10 would recommend.
This was my first introduction to Hoosier Mama Pies, but apparently they’re a big deal and they were the featured desert. Yum!
DJ Jess at Toast & Jam not only wins for having the most creative DJ comany name, her sweet beats took the house down.
