Indian American Fusion Wedding
Whether they are non-traditional or doubly-traditional, Eleanor and Kayton set out to plan their wedding their own way. Eleanor comes from a long-time American family and Kayton’s family comes from southern India. Kayton himself grew up in Montana. Together, they threw a memorable, fun, and delicious wedding at the DAR Rainier Chapter House in Seattle by having a double ceremony; an Indian American fusion wedding with one Christian-western and one Hindu-Indian.
Rainier Chapter House
If you haven’t heard of the Daughters of the Revolution’s Rainier Chapter House on Capitol Hill, well you have now! It’s a beautiful reconstruction inspired by President George Washington’s Mt. Vernon home in Virginia. Besides being the home of the Rainier chapter of DAR, it’s an event hall beautifully decorated in 19th century furniture and wares. This stunning historic replica complemented Eleanor’s dress perfectly.

100 Year Old Wedding Dress
Eleanor’s dress, hanging below, was made for her great-grandmother’s wedding. When Eleanor found it, she decided to get it tailored for her. For her Christian-western ceremony, the Eleanor wore a 100 year old wedding dress.
She looks amazing in that 100 year old wedding dress.
Both the guys and the girls just nailed these photos. So good looking. <
At most weddings, this would be the end. Hooray, they’re married, where’s the cake?! But not these two. They partied for a couple of hours then set up for a Hindu ceremony.
The ceremony began with the bride and groom separated by a cloth.
