north cascades visitor center wedding // katie & nic
The North Cascades Visitor Center wedding hall is actually just a boardwalk with an overlook into the mountains. The first image below is the view from the platform. This is a hall with pilasters of fir, arches of birch, murals of blue and distant peaks, cornices of cedar bows; the platform provides a spiritual and beautiful for all. This is where Katie & Nic chose to bind their spirits and make a sacred place to them for the rest of their lives. They setup camp and a dining room in the middle of the Newhalem Campground nearby. Their reception theme was “Cheeseburgers and Champagne” and they nailed it. With home made marshmallows and a gin bar, they celebrated the occasion in style, in nature, and well into the night. Katie & Nic made an unusual but supremely awesome choice to split from the party after the ceremony and head to this amazing precipice near Diablo Lake to exchange personal vows in private. Then we slew the portraits Wood, copper, eucalyptus, gin… perfection.
